What makes Elsewhere different
Most hookah spots in Austin are an afterthought bolted onto a bar. Elsewhere was built around the hookah. Every bowl is packed to order with premium German and Russian tobacco, the rooms are designed for sitting a while, and the whole place is set up so a night can start at 8 and still feel good at 2.
It's also Austin's only woman-owned hookah lounge, with a door policy that treats women like the reason the night works. That shows up in the room: it's relaxed, it's social, and it doesn't feel like a club you have to survive.

The rooms
- The main lounge — deep plum walls, gold accents and the Elsewhere sign. Walk-ins welcome.
- VIP rooms — a blue room with orange velvet sofas and a sage-green room with crystal chandeliers, each for up to 25 guests. See private hookah rooms.
- The Garden Courtyard — open-air seating for up to 48, a shade sail, a screen for game day and the downtown skyline over the fence.
Hookah, drinks and food
Blonde leaf hookah is $30 and dark leaf is $40, each good for two guests. The flavor list runs from Al-Fakher and Starbuzz classics to Tangiers, Darkside and Musthave. Full details are on the hookah prices page. Elsewhere is BYOB-friendly, and food trucks are parked on site: tacos from Autenticos Michoacanos #3 and burgers from ZUFO.
